After over a year and a half of working tirelessly with the Embassy of Japan thru their Grassroots Grant Program (GGP), Stepping Stone officially opened its Physical Therapy Center at its Sucat Campus.
With support from the Embassy of Japan and the Aboitiz Foundation, made possible by Trustee Remedios Romero-Salas, the facilities were formally turned over during simple ceremonies held on Aug 7, 2018.
The delegation from the Embassy of Japan was led by Second Secretary and Health Attache, Dr. Takeo Okada, Third Secretary Economic Section, Mr. Atsushi Kobayashi , Senior Program Officer GGP Ms.Takahashi Natsuko, and Program Officers Ms. Juno Cabotan, Mr. Ranel Lombres, and Mr. Arnel Gonzales.
From Stepping Stone, Chairman & President Mundy Gonzalez,
Trustees PRID Paing Hechanova, Jean Chavez, Rodrigo Segura, Adviser Fred Parungao and Executive Director Dayal Nandwani were on hand to witness the turnover.
Rotary Club of Makati and Makati Rotary Club Foundation, Inc., President Fred Pascual and Chairman Jun Jun Dayrit respectively were also present together with Rotary Club of Makati President-Elect Bimbo Mills and Rotarian Manny Padiernos .
Representatives from Panasonic Philippines Manufacturing Inc., Assistant Director Robert Pacheco and HR Training Head Mr. Lorenzo Magsingit attended the brief ceremony.
After the playing of the Philippine and Japanese National Anthems, Chairman Mundy briefly welcomed the delegation and guests. Trustee Rodrigo introduced the delegation from the Embassy of Japan as well as all present.
Dr. Okada delivered his message citing the long friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Japan and the Philippines. He welcomed the support given to Stepping Stone to help the needy uplift their lives thru therapy and care.
A tour of the Physical Therapy Facilities followed including the a short tour of the entire school facilities led by Executive Director Dayal Nandwani.
Light snacks were served and a short video presentation was done at the boardroom on the second floor.
