Awesome Halloween Party at Stepping!

It was indeed a mythical day last October 23, Thursday, as Stepping Stone celebrated an advanced Halloween Party at the Rotary Club Building, Brgy. Guadalupe Viejo with the theme, “Be The Superhero You Wish To Be”. The students, Teachers University of Santo Tomas and University of Malati interns expressed themselves thru the costumes they wore. Some came as super heroes like Captain America, Superman, Wonderwoman, Hulk, Spiderman and Batman. There were also some characters that be categorized from scary to very scary. They were dressed up as Witches, Vampires and of course the dolls Chuckie and Bride Chuckie.

Krystine Belle and Santinn of Early Intervention Class won the Little Mr. and Ms. Halloween 2014 while VickyLou of Teen Adult Class wonthe “Best in Costume” award; Prahlad and Nyssa of Teen Adult Class and Paul and Ella of Functional Academics Class were awarded “ Mr. Wonder Boy and Little Ms. Wonder Girls”.

The sound of shutters and flashes of light from cameras seemed to have never stopped just to capture the Early Intervention, Functional Academics, Teen Adults students and Occupational Therapy out patients in their fabulous costumes and dance presentations. Many enjoyed posing with the photobooth props where one could either be Wonderwoman or Superman.

Stepping Stone’s beloved Adviser. Past Rotary International Director Rafael “Paing” Hechanova was present during the program. It was the first time for the new teachers and some new parents to see one of the supporters of our school. Advider Paing was happy to see the kids again and enjoyed the picture taking with Executive Director Dayal Nandwani, the teachers and the kids.

This year’s Halloween celebration was truly enjoyed by the entire Stepping Stone family including the Occupational out patient .There were fun games both for parents/guardians, kids were also seen by Brgy. Chairman Dennis Almario during the “Trick or Treat” activity at the Brgy. Municipal Hall of Guadalupe Viejo. Our kids also received some goodies from the neighborhood in the vicinity of the venue

Ms. Colleen, Peace Corps Response Volunteer, never expected that Halloween ciuld be as exciting and fun-filled the Stepping Stone way of celebrating it. She would like to commend all the teachers for to thank all the parents who were present to share the laughter and enjoyable experience with all Stepping Stone kids.
